This pH meter allows for absolute control over the acidity of the water you use to feed your plants, which is highly recommended in soil and coco coir substrates and mandatory in hydroponic and aeroponic set-ups.

When the water you use on your cannabis plants doesn’t have the right pH, it’s much harder for your plants to absorb the nutrients used in your feed, so they tend to accumulate in the substrate which increases acidity and decreases the quality of your final yield. The more residues that back up from previous feedings, the harder it will be for your plants to absorb them, which is one of the main reasons that many people have plants that tend to show nutrient deficiencies during advanced growth stages.

Make sure your grow is receiving quality water

With the right pH levels, your plants will be able to absorb all of the nutrients that you feed them, maximizing growth and making for more productive plants. We also recommend measuring electro-conductivity with a CD611 Milwaukee Eco Ec-Meter – if the pH in your plants’ water is accurate but the EC is off, your plants might be getting overfed or not fed enough.

How to calibrate the pH meter?

In order to calibrate the pH meter, you’ll need the 7.01 and 4.01 calibration liquids. First, you’ll need to turn on the meter and place the electrode in a glass with the 7.01 solution inside and wait until the number is stable. Then, using the included screwdriver, you’ll need to turn the screw on the back until the screen shows 7.01.

Next, fill up two glasses with the 4.01 solution. Use the first glass to sort of wash the other solution off, swirling it around a bit and then placing it in the second glass. The process is exactly the same – wait until the number is stable and turn the screw until the screen shows 4.01. Your pH meter is now ready to use!

Calibrate your meter at least once a month.
