Dimmer to Regulate Electrical Input

Dimmers are accessories needed for electrical devices in grow rooms, allowing you to increase or reduce electrical input. You can easily control how intense your lights are, make your fans go much slower, change your extractor fan speed and many things that can help keep your grow much more discreet.

They’re super easy to use; all you have to do is connect your dimmer to the device you’re looking to dim. It has a simple knob that you can turn in order to increase or reduce power in your devices.

It’s generally used to control extractor fans; if they’re too fast, the temperature in your grow room much may get much too low, or you may want to reduce the noise produced by your machines when they’re working at full power. The thing about extractor motors is that they work using an electro-magnet, and if they don’t receive a minimum amount of power they won’t spin or they’ll make a terrible noise. Usually, you can lower extractor fans to about half power – it’s rare to get them any lower than that.

Many people think that dimmers don’t work properly, because it won’t adjust their extractor fans to the lowest possible power – this is simply not enough power to get an extractor fan to run normally. These dimmers can fully adjust bulbs from the lowest to the highest setting, but if you want to connect something more potent than that, it’ll need a minimum.

Use this dimmer to regulate extractor's power

You can use these dimmers with devices up to 300w and a current of 1.6A. Make sure to carefully check your extractor fan’s power in watts and current in amps before you connect them – if you connect anything too potent you’ll definitely end up blowing your dimmers fuse.
