Outdoors this plant adapts quite nicely, especially in areas with warmer weather. In order to get large plants, you'll need to germinate and plant as soon as the weather gets good. You'll need to try and give these plants as many hours of sunlight as possible, as well as plenty of space in which to grow out their roots. Towards the end of August your plants should be ready for harvesting. This means that you'll miss those pesky end of summer rains that can sometimes cause fungi and destroy entire grows.
