Jack Straw Regular by Subcool The Dank is an interesting combination that combined amazing strains such as Super Silver Haze, Sweet Tooth and Jack The Ripper (Jack’s Cleaner x Space Dude). The resulting strain can produce 4 different phenotypes, two of which are incredibly similar to JTR and the other two are more like Touch of Grey, although in as far as effect and aroma, there aren’t any large differences. We highly recommend choosing your phenotype first and cloning it in order to optimize your plant distribution, especially when growing indoors, obtaining amazing results.

Jack Straw Regular Grown Indoors

This strain isn’t that hard to grow indoors, you just have to keep in mind that it tends to produce various different phenotypes, some of which are taller and other of which are smaller and bushier. Keeping this in mind, we recommend having something in place to raise your flowerpots as needed so that they’re all sitting at the same height. This allows you to make the most of the lights in your grow tent, balancing yield through your plants and avoiding any shade areas. It takes around 70 days to flower, producing up to 550g per square meter in the hands of an expert, although you can harvest around 450g per m2.

Jack Straw Regular Grown Outdoors

Jack Straw is a bit easier to grow outdoors, as it gets a lot more space so that you can grow out all phenotypes properly. Even though it’s much easier to grow outside, and you can grow it in flowerpots or in the ground easily, we still recommend topping it a couple of times when necessary (for the larger, taller plants) and training the bushier phenotypes so that they can grow into a more open structure, absorbing more light and airflow. Regardless of the phenotype, you can harvest this plant towards the end of October; it’s great for Mediterranean climates. With the right environment and feeding schedule, this strain can produce over 600g per plant.

Jack Straw Regular Effect and Taste Test

Like we were saying before, Jack Straw is quite an interesting strain, and when consumed in moderation it produces physical relaxation and a light mental activation, although when consumed on a larger scale it produces intense psychoactive effects that aren’t recommended for beginners. In as far as its flavor and aroma, if you enjoy Haze strains, you’ll love this strain, as it produces two haze aromas; one is more pungent and citric, whereas the other is sweeter and more metallic, both of which are high quality.
