Soil Thermometer: Measures Substrate Temperature

Stick this thermometer in your flowerpot’s soil to easily and simply figure out its temperature.

You can use this technique to figure out when to best water your plants; if the substrate is too warm you may accidentally cook the roots. The warmer the water the less oxygen it contains too, which means your plants will be able to absorb much less nutrients.

Make sure soil is at the perfect temperature

If the water is too cold, you’ll fully stop root growth. Once it goes under 16°C your plants will begin to suffer, so we’d recommend bringing them inside or covering them somehow to heat them up. Use Rhizotonic to boost root performance.

Your substrate should be between 18 and 25°C when watering your plants, although this can be quite hard to do during hot summers.
