The cover is made of plastic, which can also be used as a tray to weigh larger objects. If you use using the tray, you can keep the 69 x 69mm stainless steel platform clean, which is very important if you want your scales to stay as accurate as the day you got them.

It has 4 pre-selectable unit modes (Gr, Oz, Gn, Ct) so you can easily get the units you want at any time.

The scale has 4 buttons with which you can select all the options:

• The "ON/OFF" simply turns the scale on or off.
• The "MODE" button changes the unit displayed on the screen.
• "TARE" sets the weight back to 0.00g so you can add additional weight.
• The "CALIBRATION” option allows you to re-calibrate in case you drop it or haven't used it in a while.
