In order to correctly use this soft substrate designed by Boom Nutrients, you need to keep in mind that it has quite a decent humidity retention capacity, making it great for using in hot, dry areas. On the other hand, you need to make sure not to overwater it as it’s pretty easy to cause accidental root rot. If you live somewhere humid or rainy and still want to use this substrate, we recommend adding in about White Perlite and a bit more coco coir. This allows for less water retention.
