Vermiculite Nº2 Properties
Vermiculite nº2 has different uses in the cultivation of marijuana. It is sort of expanded clay but not as hard that retains water up to 5 times its weight; therefore, if we add some vermiculite, it will be no problem to moist peats again –e.g. Canna Terra Professional 50 L- that are difficult to wet after they get dry. Other substrates that absorb better, as All-Mix by Biobizz, many not need to add them since they retain moisture far more.
Vermiculite N°2 Properties
If you mix it with soil do not exceed 5% the pot volume or you may have serious problems of humidity in the substrate, water excess and root rottenness due to a lack of oxygen; therefore, growbarato.net recommends 2%.
Vermiculite nº 2 is also very much used in hydroponic systems as an inert substrate and similarly to the use of clay pebbles. This product is available in 125L sacks.
