How to Make Clones Using Root Riot Clonex

Once you’ve taken your cuttings from your mother plant, (using a sterile cutter, making a diagonal, clean cut underneath a leaf node) you should dip them in Clonex and then straight into a Root Riot plug and then place your plugs into your propagator. Once you’re finished, close your propagator and keep the windows closed for two or three days. After 2-3 days you can open up the vents slightly as long as you keep an eye on the humidity – it can’t go below 70%. Keep it at around 70% until they start to grow or until the root peaks out the bottom of the plug.

Root Riot plugs come humid enough so that you don’t have to wet them, which can be disastrous if you wet them too much, killing off your clones straight away. Each plug contains a reasonable amount of rooting hormones – all you have to do is stick your cutting in the plug and it should successfully root in no time at all as long as you use the right type of propagator, such as the Propagator With Heater By Neptune.
