Grand Daddy Purple by GB Strains is a feminized seed that resulted from the cross of two very powerful strains, Mendo Purps and Afghan. Its indica dominance makes it a great option to relax and have a good time whether with friends or on your own.

This strain was created in San Francisco Bay (California) by breeder Ken Estes in 2003. Since then, it has been gaining more popularity among other famous purple indica strains. Grand Daddy Purple eventually arrived in Europe, in Holland, to be more precise, where it became top trending among Amsterdam coffee shops.

This indica hybrid strain with medium  THC levels has sedative and relaxing effects with some energizing properties. It has a fruity flavor with grape, white chocolate and grape juice scents.

If you grow Grand Daddy Purple indoors, you’ll probably get strong and resistant cannabis plants. This strain’s flowering period ranges between 70-75 days and it will yield approximately 450 g /m2 While growing it, carbon filters or a Prozono Ozone Generator should be used to keep excessive odors at bay.

To obtain best results, we recommend growing between 9-12 plants in 7 L flower pots. This strain is easy to grow all throughout its growing phases and does well even in fresher climates. It produces very attractive colas and high resinous yields.

When growing it outdoors it can easily reach 2 m in height and yield more than 550 g/per plant. Its internodes are sturdy, and its foliage is dark green and purple. Due to its structure, the use of stakes is most advisable.

This strain is very resistant to fungus, plagues and other cannabis illnesses which makes it very appropriate to grow in all sorts of climates.
