Buddha AK by Buddha Seeds is a clear sativa-dominant strain, known for its yields and incredibly strong, resinous flowers. This compact plant is easier to grow than its sativa parents thanks to the work put in by Buddha Seeds’ breeders.

This strain began becoming popular back in the 70s thanks to its genetic makeup, coming from strains from Colombia, Mexico, Thailand and Afghanistan. This strain was crossed over the years by expert growers until the 90s, two of the most well-known European seed banks, Serious Seeds and Soma seeds, began selling the resulting seeds.

This particular strain was chosen due to the fact that it produces high amounts of THC, as well as being a strong, sturdy plant that’s easy to grow. It has also won over 20 titles and prizes around the world. Also, little known fact – the name AK isn’t after the gun, it stands for Afghan Kush.

Growing Buddha AK Indoors

When it comes to indoor growing, this plant is average in size and doesn’t produce many branches. It produces large flowers and has the perfect bud-leaf ratio. Indoors you can harvest up to 550 g/m2 after about 60 – 65 flowering days. These strains can grow to anywhere between 70 and 90 cm.

This plant, thanks to its particular characteristics, is perfect for pruning and using methods such as the SoG method, which allows you to increase yield by quite a bit. Due to its intense aroma, we recommend using an efficient air filter in order to keep the area ventilated and aroma-free.

Growing Buddha AK Outdoors

Outdoors this strain can grow much more, producing a branchy structure. If given the right care and climate, this amazing plant can produce over 1 kg just from one singular plant. It should be ready to harvest towards mid-October/end of October. This plant can grow over 2 m tall when given the space.

In order to obtain the best possible yield this strain needs to feed quite a lot – we recommend investing in high quality nutrients, such as Crecimiento Boom, in order to improve growth, flowering and bud fattening. Plus, you’ll need to use a substrate that’s capable of giving nutrients from the get go.
