Purple Punch

Purple Punch by Barney’s Farm is an amazing strain that comes from an original Purple Punch by Purple Caper Seeds. Two of the most balanced, complete phenotypes were chosen to make this strain, using S1 plants. The resulting strain is average in size, with many branches and it’s not too complicated to grow, although it’s not recommended for beginners. It comes from two plants called Larry OG and Grand Daddy Purple.

How to grow Purple Punch indoors

When grown indoors this strain grows at an average speed due to its high indica percentage. In some cases it may grow too tall, though, which is why a bit of experience is needed to avoid any mishaps. Its branches are sturdy and produce plenty of intensely green leaves. During the flowering period is where it really shines, producing dark colors at times that can go red. It can grow to around 1m and produce over 450g per square meter. It takes around 50-60 days to finish flowering.

How to grow Purple Punch outdoors

Outdoors it grows into a leafy, bushy structure that’s capable of dealing with strong winds and short-term drought. Thanks to its branchy structure, using a trellis net can easily help you increase yield and control the exact shape and size of the plant, which is sometimes needed outdoors; you’ll be able to harvest much thicker branches of buds. It can grow up to 2m at most, producing around 700g per plant. In order to harvest this beauty you’ll need to wait until the end of September. Keep in mind that it’s a bit delicate when it comes to extra humidity, so we recommend growing it in drier climates. Use Bud XL for best results.
