The Gemmacert PRO is a very intuitive product that indicates its status by means of lights, from initialisation to the end of each analysis.

Method of use and meaning of the lights

1. Connect the cable to the lower part of the Gemmacert PRO and close the magnetic base.
2. Connect to the light.
3. About 50 seconds after switching on, a steady white light will be visible (initialisation in progress).
4. When this light starts flashing, the device is ready for pairing.
5. This product needs to reach a temperature of 45° to be used. Therefore, depending on the location where the tests are performed, the initialisation can take between 5 and 20 minutes.

How to perform analysis with GemmaCert PRO

Gemmacert PRO is managed through its mobile application, which can be downloaded for both Android and iOs. Once you purchase the product, you will be provided with the necessary keys to enter the app, where you will need to enter the serial number of your Gemmacert PRO to pair it.

When the Gemmacert PRO shows a steady blue light, your smartphone is correctly connected to the device. Each time you perform a test, a flashing blue light will be visible indicating that the process is still in progress. Once completed, the blue light will return to steady blue. To turn it off, you can hold the P button for 3 seconds or do it from your smartphone.

On the other hand, it is very important to note that it does not destroy the samples. The material to be tested will remain fully intact for future use. Moreover, if you want to perform an exhaustive analysis, you can connect to the client portal in the desktop version of GemmaCert and compare the results with other users' samples.

Whole flower analysis

Once Gemmacert PRO is ready to use and connected to your smartphone, you are ready to perform your analysis. 

1. In the app, go to the 'Mode' tab and select 'Flower'.
2. Then select the 'Calibrate' option.
3. Before starting this process, we are allowed to enter certain data of interest such as the seed bank, the variety’s name or extra comments that we want to point out.
4. Calibration takes between 1 and 5 minutes.
5. At a certain point, the application will prompt us to lift the sample lift to continue the calibration.
6. When this process is complete, remove the magnetic pin from the lift, attach the flower using the pin and reinsert it.
7. Close the lift and press the 'Analysis' button.
8. Wait for the results.
9. If we want to perform another flower analysis, it is not necessary to recalibrate the device, but if we want to change to extracts or ground matter, it is necessary.

Ground plant matter or biomass analysis

1. Insert the empty plant material analysis adapter into the lift.
2. In the app, select 'Ground' mode and start the calibration.
3. Follow the steps in the app until the calibration is complete.
4. Once calibrated, remove the adapter, fill it with crushed plant matter and replace it.
5. Note that no more than 2 minutes should elapse between the end of the calibration and the start of the analysis.
6. Select 'Analyse', follow the steps in the app and wait for the results.

Extractions analysis

1. Attach the empty extraction adapter to the lift, switch to 'Extracts' mode in the app and start the calibration.
2. Remove the sample carrier, open it and insert a blister with the extraction to be analysed. After this, place the sample holder back in the adapter and reattach it to the lift. 
3. This method can also analyse oils, but is discouraged by the manufacturer, as it could spread and damage the integrated machinery.
